Tiger is a national animal of India. It has a royal look, therefore, it has been declared as the national animal of the country. Tiger is a very strong and powerful animal known for its grace, power and agility.
Around only 3,000 wild tigers now survive compared with 100,000 at the turn of the 20th century. Poaching and habitat loss has led to the downfall of this great and majestic beast. Support the tigers and help maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
To provide safety and natural environment around 23 tiger reserves have been made throughout the country. This is an improvement in the tiger population by 1993 in the country. However, despite the increasing population of tigers in the country is still not satisfactory as compared to the effort and money spent on this project.
